Meet Our Pastor

Pastor DeBolt grew up in Sheridan, WY in a family with two older and one younger brother. After a four year enlistment in the United States Air Force, he attended six years of Pharmacy School where he earned a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree in 2003. God brought Pastor DeBolt to Colorado where he worked in Canon City as a pharmacist for 13 years. It was shortly after moving to Canon City that Pastor DeBolt visited a Baptist church and for the first time in his life heard a clear presentation of the Gospel. Shortly thereafter, Pastor DeBolt accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. God later called to him to preach and to be a church planter after hearing a message during a Baptist Heritage conference.

Pastor DeBolt met his wife Linda when God brought her to Colorado to teach in a Christian school. Linda was saved in 2006 and graduated from West Coast Baptist College in 2010 with a Bachelors degree in Secondary Education.

Pastor DeBolt and his wife have six children, Allisyn 18, Dawson 15, Emily 8, Nathaniel 4, Titus 3, and Abigail 2. The youngest four children God gave through foster care and has allowed them to be a permanent part of the DeBolt family through adoption.

Pastor DeBolt and his family have been serving at their sending church, Penrose Baptist Church in Penrose, CO for the last six years working with the youth group and conducting an addictions ministry.

In January 2016 God called Pastor Keith Bates of Penrose Baptist Church to start a church in Monument, CO. Pastor DeBolt and his family have been involved with the church in Monument from the very beginning. In October of 2016 God called Pastor DeBolt to take over the work full time. He has since quit his job as a pharmacist and has relocated to the Monument area to pastor Victory Baptist Church.

Salvation

Are You 100% Sure You Will Go To Heaven When You Die?

God tells us in the Bible that we can be 100% sure. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:13)
The Bible makes the plan of salvation very clear, it is as follows:

1. Realize you are a sinner
No matter where you are physically, everyone starts at the same place spiritually. All are sinners, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Rom. 3:23). Man comes short of Heaven (the glory of God) because of sin

2. Realize there is a penalty for your sin
Not only does sin keep you out of Heaven, but it also condemns you to Hell. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death…”. Sin brings spiritual death. “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” (Rev. 20:14).

3. Realize that Jesus paid the price for you
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Christ died on the cross to pay for our sins. Nothing we can do (good deeds, baptism, giving, etc.) can wash our sins away.

4. Put your faith in Jesus and receive Him as your Savior
Romans 10:9 – “That if thou shalt confess with thy  mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Rom. 6:23 “…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Eternal life is a gift we can only receive through Jesus. A gift cannot be earned, it can only be accepted. Will you accept God’s gift to you? If so, simply ask God in faith to save you by saying a prayer similar to this:
Jesus I know that I am lost without your forgiveness. I believe you died and rose again from the dead to save my soul. I put my faith in you alone and trust you to save me. Amen

What is a Baptist?
The name Baptist represents a series of beliefs, not a denomination.
We use the acrostic BAPTISTS to define some of our most important distinctives.
While not exhaustive, it should give you a good idea of what makes us Baptists.

-Biblical Authority-
The Bible is the final authority for all matters of faith and practice

-Autonomy of the Local Church-
Each individual church is to be self governed and free from outside influence

-Priesthood of the Believer-
Every believer has equal access to the Father

-Two Ordinances-
Baptism (by immersion) and The Lord’s Supper

-Individual Soul Liberty-
Every person has the right to believe and worship as they see fit

-Saved and Baptized Church Membership-
Two characteristics that have always made up the members of any New Testament church

-Two Officers-
Pastor (or elder or bishop referring to the same office) and deacon

-Separation of Church and State-
We believe the government should not interfere with the church and in a distinction between the two entities
